Care & Cleaning
To extend the life of your MONNA umbrella:
-
Rinse salt, sand, and dirt off the fabric and umbrella components after each use
-
Allow the fabric to dry fully before folding or storing
-
Never store the umbrella while wet — this can cause mould and mildew
-
Store in a cool, dry, shaded location when not in use
-
Address any early signs of mould immediately
Saltwater can cause rust on steel components. While each MONNA umbrella pole is galvanised and painted to protect it from the elements, please take extra care to wipe away any salt residue and allow your umbrella to dry properly in the sun, particularly when you are packing your umbrella away for a prolonged period.
Over time, some natural fading, minor thread wear, scratching and surface rust on steel components may occur. These are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.
Wind & Safety
Beach umbrellas can become a hazard in strong winds. Always anchor your MONNA umbrella securely using the included sand anchor, and check that it is properly assembled before use. Do not leave your umbrella unattended in windy conditions — collapse and store it if you are leaving the area or if conditions deteriorate.
